Have an assitant turn the key to on and listent by the gas cap. You should hear a whirl for about two seconds while the pump turns on.

You need to diagnose starting from the pump (which we know is turning on) and finish at the injectors. The next thing that could be bad is the fuel filter. The only way to know for sure is to attach a fuel pressure gauge on the fuel rail. You can also check if the fuel pressure regulator is working properly.

Did you pull a wire and test the spark with a spare plug?

If so, are you getting good spark (blue or yellow)? Weak spark would be orange or red. A bad coil still could be the culprit.

I would suggest removing the air intake and spray a bit of throttle body cleaner or starter fluid into the intake while turning the engine over. If it catches for a second, this would confirm a good spark and lack of fuel delivery w/ one easy test.

Recently another fellow had similar symptoms on a 90 Accord on another forum. We went back on forth on fuel supply/spark issues, but he could not coax even a hint of starting w/ the above test. Problem was fixed w/ a new coil.

good luck

if you have a fuel pressure gauge great you can properly chk fuel pressure if not,, do as it ws suggested remove the intake tube at throttle body open the plate and spray some carb cleaner in the throttle body ,, if car starts it confirms lack of gas .
If so now you got to chk for power and ground at fuel pump,, if you have both and no fuel pressure most likely a bad fuel pump,,

if no power chk the fuse first but it could be a bad main relay seen a bunch of those go bad ,,

No start w/ throttle body spray into the intake suggests a spark problem. Your symptoms and results are similar to the problem I mentioned above. He was convinced he had good spark because he had installed a new coil. However, when he swapped a coil from a running Accord, it instantly started. The coil can deliver a spark that is difficult to recognize as weak, butwill not come close to starting the engine.

A quick & dirty test for fuel pressure is to crack the banjo bolt on the fuel rail end (driver's side). It should have a healthy spray of fuel. Be Careful and use a rag to avoid gas everywhere! This doesn't rule out low pressure, but does rule out zero pressure.

Persistance and attention to detail are essential in a difficult no-start. The fellow mentioned above struggled for several weeks before the coil problem was identified.

good luck

if you are getting good spark and fuel..........does the chk engine lite come on when you turn the ignit switch on and goes off after 5-6-seconds ??
if so,, you now need to chk to make sure t-belt did not jump.. .. also try something, remove the plugs, clean them, put a bit of tranny fluid in the cylinders before you reinstall the plugs ,, while you have the plugs out you might want to do a compression test
