Default Tips for getting Sway Bar link nuts off

My sway bar links need replacing, I guess they have those self-locking nuts on them?? The top one I can get off with the allen wrench holding the bolt firm and wrench turning the hut.

Anyone have any tricks to get the bottom one off? I can't get a wrench in there and tried the socket route but since it's self locking it just spins the whole bolt.

Any tips are appreciated.

Vice-grips + socket

If all else fails, get out the nut breaker, hacksaw, asbestos wheel, carbide belt sander, etc.

Thanks, I guess that would make sense. Seems there should have been a "high tech" way or something. I tried staring at it and yelling but that didn't work.

Yeah, if youre gonna replace it anyway, its much easier to cut it off. Even using verystrong language has never worked well on the rusted pieces of my cars.

I used to spend hours unbolting exhaust stuff only to throw it away. Then I got a sawzall...
