Default Tire Size Question

I did a search and could not find a specific answer to this, I'm just wondering if there will be clearence issues using a 215/60/15 on the stock 15x6 rim. The factory size is 195/65/15. I know the tires will probably look 'bubbly' but I have a brand new set and am wondering whether or not I should try to sell them in the spring. The car is a 2002 Accord LX 2.3 MT. Thanks!

There are some sites you can find by doing a google search that will give you the physical size of the tire when you put in the dimensions.

Enter the size for the OEM size and the size that you just posted. Figure out the height difference and see if you have the clearance in your wheel well.

If it were me, I would sell the tires you have and buy the oem size to take out the guesswork. It really is up to you though.

It is virtually the same height, I guess what I'm asking is can you run a 215 series tire the same height as stock without it rubbing on the upper steering knuckle or the inner fender on turns. Maybe there is no real way to tell this unless I try it. It's just that I would lose money trying to sell the tires I have and getting a different size, and I can't afford to do that right now.

I just entered in the information for the two tire sizes.

They are almost the same height, except the 215 is about an 0.8 inch wider. My guess is that it should fit without much of a problem.

You should ask the place where you plan to get the tires installed, because I just stick with the OEM size to avoid this kind of stuff.
