Question TPS Calibration using ohms

So I know how to calibrate the tps using the voltage measurements from the TPS wires to the harness but I'm wondering if I can use ohms (resistance) that way I do not have to hook the TB up to the car in order to calibrate it.

terminal 1 and 2 should yield .5 to .9 K-ohms throttle fully closed
terminal 2 and 3 should yield 4.5 K-ohms throttle fully closed

I don't know but what about using a five volt supply to calibrate when it's off the car? If you have an old ATX computer power supply, the red wire output is 5VDC. USB ports are 5v too.

Thanks Dr. Drivability

and
@Roader

I was also thinking about that but I have to get a scrap connector to make it a little easier. I have adapters and stuff I can hook up for a power source.

The initial calibration write up I used had voltages and was used when the tps was hooked up. I figured ohms would be easier since no power source is needed but wasnt sure if it was something that would vary from each car. I couldnt anything on hondas in particular.

But this is much easier, I could try the voltage approach using a usb cable and a connector to verify if I get bored.

I'm getting resistance readings from the first two terminals but nothing from the second and third.

To determine which pins to measure resistance (or voltage) I would download the 94 shop manual. The common diy thread on top of the gen tech help forum has a link to online shop manuals.

If access is a pain, you can do the measurement at the proper ECU pins.
