Traction Control System (TCS LIGHT) question
I have a 2003 Accord EX and about two weeks ago the TCS light came on. Now when I start the car and press the brake to put it in gear, the light comes on and the gear locks up and will not let me put it in drive. I then have to turn the car off, press the brake, and restart the car with the brake pressed to get it in gear. Basically, I cannot figure out why the light comes on and locks up the transmission. My only thought is that I have a tire with a slow leak and it is triggering some type of wheel sensor. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

RE: Traction Control System (TCS LIGHT) question
first off welcome to the forum and thanks for posting the model/year!! Like they said have someone get out of the car and look at your brake lights, if they don't come on when you push on the brake and try to shift then you have a brake switch issue.
Does the car run normally/just fine after you get it started/in gear?

RE: Traction Control System (TCS LIGHT) question
Thanks for all the replies....To answer all the questions, 1) my check engine light is not on 2) I have no clue about the codes and 3) I am not sure about the brake lights either...Ill have to check. However, my brake light was out and I just replaced it...Don't know if that would have anything to do with it? Is the brake switch issue something I can fix or do I need to take it to the dealer?
