To have a shop to do it? Or just for parts? To pay a shop to do it your probably looking at $1,500-$2,000 as its a bit of labor, the parts them selves arent that expensive though.

This is what you will need:

1. 5 speed transmission (F22, F23, H22, H23)
2. 5 speed starter (90-02 Accord 92-02 Prelude)
3. 5 speed shifter assembly w/ shifter cables (90-97 Accord, 92-96 Prelude)
4. 5 speed drivers side axle (your year accord, but from 5-spd version)
5. 5 speed intermediate shaft (your year accord, but from 5-spd version)
6. 5 speed clutch pedal assembly (90-97 Accord, 92-96 Prelude)
7. 5 speed brake pedal arm (90-93 Accord, 94-97 Accord)
8. Clutch master cylinder w/ reservoir and lines (90-97 Accord 92-96 Prelude)
9. Clutch line from Clutch master cylinder to clutch dampener (90-97 Accord 92-96 Prelude)
10. Clutch dampener assembly (90-97 Accord 92-96 Prelude)
11. Clutch line from Clutch dampener to 5 speed tranny (90-97 Accord 92-96 Prelude)
12. Clutch line from 5 speed tranny to slave cylinder (90-97 Accord 92-96 Prelude)
13. Slave cylinder (90-97 Accord 92-96 Prelude)
14. Clutch (90-02 Accord 92-01 Prelude)
15. Flywheel (90-02 Accord 92-01 Prelude)
16. 5 speed mount (Your year, 5-spd version)
17. 5 speed mount bracket (go to Honda - tell them to look for the bracket that is welded on the car - part is S.O.P and costs 15-25.00)
18. MIG WELDER
19. BOLTS: 8 Flywheel Bolts, 6 Pressure Plate Bolts, 3 Intermediate Shaft Bolts, 1 Long Tranny Bolt

well i was thinking that my friend and i can do the job its just the transmission itself and the parts to go with it. what would the difference in cost be if i just dropped another auto in there. i was considering buying a 5sp prelude anyway so idk what i'm going to do yet

I dont know I mean you could probably get an automatic for $300ish. Compared to $300ish for a manual, and then if you just went to a junkyard and could find a 5spd accord could probably get the rest of the parts for 2-300 maybe.

best bet for cheapest would either be a junkyard or craigslist, just have to know what you are getting.

I have a '99 V6 Accord. Would i be able to do a transmission swap on that? They didn't start making a manual transmission on a V6 Accord until 2003, unfortunately.

I have a 96 EX Accord that was t-boned and, I am trying to buy another Accord that is a 96/97 EX 5sp sedan but, its so hard to find those in a 5sp it sucks!!!

So I am trying to figure out if I should just get an EX automatic and do the swap? or get a SE and do the engine tranny and just basically the whole swap.

I also want to know if the motor has to be taking out to be able to do the Swap? I might as well do that if I get an SE version of the car, because those are a nonVTEC engines. Also I just got a new clutch before I was hit by this B**** who ran into my driver side doors hitting right at me while I was driving.

SO Thanks for anyone who can give me much more advice on this. Thanks Live2Rice for the parts needed for the swap. I am wondering what is that, that needs to be weld on?

17. 5 speed mount bracket (go to Honda - tell them to look for the bracket that is welded on the car - part is S.O.P and costs 15-25.00)
18. MIG WELDER

Let me know more about that one.

Thanks!
