hey whats up guy's i was wondering i have a 96 accord ex 5speed soch v-tec is their any other honda ecu's that i could use that would make a differrance to gain performance! because i was looking at another site and a guy was talking about that he has a 97 accord wiht the h22 and he installed a "gsr-p72 ecu" in it and now he rev's to like 7500rpm and his v-tec kick's in at 3000rpm could i do this to my car by installing a different ecu? or is this guy in the other sit full of crap

You can get custom tuned ECU's or chip your current one to change the v-tec engagement point and rev-limiter... do a search in google for Honda ecu chip and it will pull up some more information... You can spend anywhere from $25.00 for an e-bay special to $4000.00 for a WRC style computer managment system...

Increasing your redline won't give you a real power increase since your max power is probably made aroun 5800 - 6000 prms. I plan on getting my hondata set up going soon and I'd be happy to tell you how that goes. Hondata is a programable engine management system for hondas. Check out hondata if you haven't already, you might be interested in it.
