Default Trouble Codes ?

Is a 1989 Accord LXi sedan to old to be hooked up to a diagnostic machine to get trouble codes.

Yes, too old. But you can read trouble codes - search for the procedure.

Stand on your head on the floor board behind the drivers seat.
Under the driver seat is a plastic shroud with a small plastic door in it.
Under that little door is an LED.
When you turn on the key the LED will blink out a code.

Hondadude...

I always get confused. What year did Accord change from the blinking LED to the SCS connector & flashing CEL? Whenever someone asks about something near 1990, I'm never sure what to say.
