Default Trunk lid tail lights

1987 accord lx 4 door.298,810 miles and running strong.

Had message center illuminate rear brake light problem. Got home tested lights noted left trunk lid runninglight inop. Took 2 phillips screws out found 1156 bulb and side marker bulb located in the assy. replaced the marker light and it op cks ok. Thought the 1156 was burnt out. Bulb had a small amount of white corrosion which scotch brite took care of. Socket looked brand new. Tested bulb withohm meter bulb cks good. Not getting any voltage to the 1156 sockets either side. Had wife depress brake pedal to check for poss brake application, still no voltage. Both side marker lamps are working with the running lights. Checked fuses under dash and under hood. None blown or marked as trunk/brake/tail or anything.

Are these lights brake lights? Where does it draw power from? Is there a fuse in the system? Both sides no voltage.

Thanks,
Roadking

This is really causing me to have a Flashback [8D] WOW
In the trunk where the drivers side hinge is, you will see the wire harness.
The wire harness can flex there and sometimes the wires break inside the loom.
