Usually if you trace the wire back to the harness. They break off or get corroded right where they merge into the main wire harness.

You have to peel lots of tape and lots of wire covers to get to all the wires but it's a lot easier to work on
I have the inner fender in tact on the driver side, the issue is not the wiring, I did confirm that.....

I got an ICU from the junkyard, and plugged in, but then non of the front markers turn on, or flash, so I am going back in the morning to exchange for another, because dealer here want's $260 for a new one and has to order it.

I got it out, thanks... There are 2 clips, one on the top and one on the bottom that you just take a flat head screwdriver and pop it out. Thanks.

I was thinking maybe it didn't work, due to it being a different part number and blue, where as mine is brown? It came out of a 97 Accord 4 Door Sedan.... But not sure, I looked in a 95, and it had one that was blue, but a different part number from mine or the other blue one.....

Does anyone know what all the ICU actually controls?

I have at least one spare ICU sitting around. I've been collecting them ever since I found out what they did. The one I'm thinking of came from a TL but it should connect up the same.

It's part of the following:

  • Intermittent wiper circuit
  • Side marker flasher relay
  • Key-in and seat belt reminder circuit
  • Power window key-off timer circuit
  • Entry light timer circuit
  • Lights-on reminder circuit
  • Rear window defogger timer circuit
  • Engine oil indicator flasher circuit

Yeah, I picked up 3 from the junkyard today, guy just let me have them... All doing the same thing. I got a turn signal switch today, because I did notice that it is only the left, and only the turn signal... Like I said, the indicator is going dim, bright, dim, bright... instead of off, on, off, on... But only the left, and only the actual turn signal, when I use the 4 ways, it is off, on, off, on, and the outside corner lights work like they are supposed to, so thinking maybe the switch is half shorted out. Gonna go swap it out in 30 minutes or less, and will post what I find out.

Thanks for the ongoing help.

Soooooo, no luck, still acting up, even tried changing out the Hazard Switch in the center console, since they are tied together... Ugh... At wits end....

So here is where I am standing....

What Is Supposed To Happen:
Bumper Turn Signal + Corner Amber Flash Together (Lights Off)
Bumper Turn Signal + Corner Amber Alternate (Lights On)
Turn Signals Off = Corner Amber Lights Up Steady (Lights On)

My Right Works Fine (all bulbs)
My Left Works Fine (all bulbs minus top corner amber)...

What Is Happening:
Bumper Turn Signal + Corner Amber Steadily On (Lights Off)
Bumper Turn Signal + Corner Amber Steadily Off (Lights On)
Turn Signals Off = Corner Amber Lights Up Steady (Lights On)

This only happens on the left side...

I have checked the following:
Wiring Harnesses
ICU (Integrated Control Unit/Module)
Flasher Relay
All Fuses
Turn Signal Switch
Hazard Switch
Main Relays

This is just to clarify what is going on, for further detailed information...
This is only happening on the left side, the right is fine.

ALSO THE LEFT WORKS FINE AND NORMAL WITH THE 4WAYS (HAZARDS) ON, JUST NOT NORMAL WITH ONLY THE LEFT TURN SIGNAL ACTIVATED...
WHICH IS THE REALLY CONFUSING PART... WOULD MAKE THINK THE ICU, BUT WENT THROUGH A TOTAL OF 4 OF THEM WITH NO CHANGE.....

Disconnect the 16P green connector from the integrated control unit. Then closely examine the Grn/Wht wire terminal and the wiring to see if some insulation may be chafed, etc. and shorting with another wire. The Grn/Wht wire supplies power to the front left side marker. The Grn/Wht wire is a wire with green insulation and a white stripe running through it.

In addition, at connector C309, a 12P brown connector (for coupes and sedans) on the under-dash fuse box, also check the Grn/Wht wire there.

You may also want to examine the Grn/Wht wire at the front left side marker area and connector.
