I'm desperate. I have a 1999 1.8i CG8, F18B2 code engine, 5 speed MT, UK spec Accord.
I need part numbers for both Oxygen sensors and help with locating where both these sensors plug into the harness.
I can only find one part number on the online catalogues: 36531-PDA-E02
For some reason the other OEM sensor shown as item 21 here: https://www.megazip.net/zapchasti-dl...lencer-7031496
...has no part number in the online catalogue.
Are both sensors the same part number?
The owner before me completely removed the Cat system and sensors so I don't know the correct setup or where to plug them in.
I believe Sensor 1 is attached to the downpipe just before the CAT inlet and Sensor 2 is attached to the CAT outlet.
Maybe, but I'll still hope one of our UK members might chime in...
Honda has always had a habit of sharing the same parts drawings across different versions. Parts that are not on YOUR car will still show up in the shared picture, but will not appear in the scrolling parts list over on the right. For example the picture shows 2 different versions of the A-pipe and 2 versions of the cat. Just to be certain, enter that parts website with the VIN from your car rather than the year, model, etc.
The 2nd O2 sensor doesn't do anything to control the engine. It's a USA requirement that simply measures the health of the emissions system and will throw an error for the person doing an inspection on the car. I guess similar to your MOT inspections.
For the similar US car, the 2nd sensor would screw into the middle of the cat-converter. If you buy the proper cat for UK, it will probably not have a socket for the rear sensor anyway.
Thank you. I was lucky to find a breaker nearby with a F18B2 today. It had two sensors, one at either side of the CAT.
I believe these are the part numbers with equivalents and the pictures are the actual OEM parts:
