Funny thing is I went with my mom when she bought her 2007 accord EX coupe 4cyl... Must have been a dealer trade because they didn't have the valet key..

So I go up there with her when she needs her oil changed to get the valet key for her.. The manager gives me a work order and they cut the key while car is in service shop for the oil change..

Now here is where the ? is .. I try the key it starts car so chip coding is good.. Move on to the fuel latch and the glove compartment (it opens both) I say to myself thats not right y even have a valet key..

I look in the owners manual and it clearly states valet key will not open these two items ... Called back the service guy who helped us and he gave me a round bout answer (which stunk of BS ) about how valet keys are not like that anymore and they open everything..

Can anyone supply with photos of their Regular key and Valet key next to each other to show the difference in cuts?

Any info on the subject will be helpful thanks.

 

I smell BS too. If the manual says it clear as day, bring it to the manager and show him and have him re-cut the key.
