Default VIN help needed

I just picked up a car and I'm having a problem with reading the VIN plate correctly.. Specifically for the trim of my vehicle.

Here's the VIN:

1HGCD556XRAXXXXXX

I can understand everything except the "X" between 6 and R. Also, when looking at the multitude of VIN "decoders" on the various websites, the preceeding 6 means: Accord E w/leather 2/4 dr. I've never seen an Accord "E" before.. The other vehicles listed in that same shred mentioned full aspects such as DX or EX, so I'm not sure.

The paperwork with the vehicle doesn't have the trim on it (not sure why not) and I can't reach the previous owner. It is a 1994 4dr. w/leather interior, manual w/sun roof and 3rd brake light spoiler. The engine is a 2.2l vtec, so my guess would be the EX model. Anyone?

It's a "check digit". No use stated.

The 6 before the check digit is model "EX-R".

good luck
