Default weatherstrip above chrome belt molding?

Hi, I have a 2010 Accord Sedan V6 EX-L and the little thin black strip that is just above the chrome trim at the base of the window has came off on one side and is peeling off on the other side. It's a little thin rubberlike piece and it looks like there are 4 pieces, one for each window. 1 is completely missing and one is lifting up and flaps around when I lower the window. Does anyone know what this is? I can take a picture or two if needed. I want to know what it is called and how hard it is to put on and whether I should pay someone to apply it for me. Thank you.

The rubber is part of the molding. The part is about $43. There are two screws (one at each end) and some clips holding it on.

Yes. The molding is part #1 or #5.

Ok thanks for the info. Can I glue down the ones that are coming up? Also is it needed? Will water get in without it?

You can always try.

For replacement, if you open the door, you'll see the two screws on each end of the door frame. After those screws are removed, you would slide the molding (with the attached clips) off the door frame.

Is this part necessary to keep water out? Also where is a good place to buy it from? Once again thanks for all your help.

It probably helps to some degree to keep the environment out (dirt, water, etc.).

It's a dealer part. Internet dealers like Bernardi Honda, Honda Parts Now, Majestic Honda, etc. are competitive and sell below list price; but, the shipping costs can add to make it more than list.

Local dealership many times mark-up over list. So, you have to shop around and compare pricing.

I have the same issue with the driver side window. I went to the dealer they said the part is 90 bucks and 135 to put it in. Did you say I could replace this without taking the door panel off? Thank

The door panel does not need to be removed.
