What is this? (pics)

Default What is this? (pics)

Hey, I was installing a subwoofer in my '95 Accord and I found this boxunder the dash. I have never seen it before. It has a micro rocker switch, it is wired into the mainharness, and appears to have an antenna. I looked in the hayne's repair manual, and it is not in the diagram.If you know what this is, please tell me. Thanks

Looks like something aftermarket. Possibly an alarm maybe?

Looks like an alarm to me...

1. It's wire into the harness, so it might have an immobilizer?

2. Antenna. Only automobile gizmos that use RF are alarms and remote starts.

3. Switch could possibly be a valet switch or something.

Hey, not sure if you figured that out yet but it is an alarm module. I used to install them. Looks like an Audiovox or the like. Hope that helps.
