Default What type of Engine do i have?

Hello,

I have a 95 Honda Accord Ex... (Not sure if its an EX but it does say Accord Ex on the Trunk. My Engine does not say Vtec and i don't have a sunroof or leather seats. Is my vehicle an EX? or did someone just put on EX at the back? If so... What type of engine do i have? Thanks, Louis

If your valve cover says something like Honda 16 valve, then you have either an LX or DX.

You can identify the model by the VIN. The VIN number is on the driver's dash near the windshield. You can see the VIN by looking at the windshield.

The eighth digit (The # in the series) is the model. The 7th digit is for auto/manual transmission. I just put it in as an automatic.

For a sedan: 1HGCD56#.......
For a coupe: 1HGCD72#.......

2 is DX
3 is LX
4 is LX with ABS
5 is EX
6 is EX with leather seats

Canada had different LX/EX/EX-R trim levels, didn't they?

Canada EX is like USA LX
Canada EX-R is like USA EX???

Or look at the engine serial plate. F22B1 or F22?? whatever.
