Whining noise!

I hear a whining noise every time I turn the steering wheel on my 2008 Accord. What could it be?

4-cyl? V-6?

Check the belt tensioner. There's some markings on the tensioner to indicate the belt stretched to its limit where you need a new belt.

Another way is carefully spray some water on the belt & try the steering. If that makes it quiet, you know it's the belt rather than something more complicated. Sometimes old belts get hard & slippery even if they aren't stretched too far.

One possibility is leaking O-rings at the hose connections at the pump. They let a bit of air into the pump.

Search around the General Tech. forum because someone has posted a tech. bulletin (maybe PAHonda?)
