Default Windshield trim removal? Help!

Hi, I have a 96 accord ex and i'm trying to figure out how to remove the upper and side trim around the windshield without destroying it. I want to sand it down and repaint it. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!!!

Download the manual from the DIY section, it has that info. It will show you the tool you need and even how to make your own tool.

Good luck!

The clips under the trim have little flexible arms that catch into a groove in the trim piece.
You can use a 90 degree bent pick to release the little arms by pushing them in a little and lifting the trim, and wiggle it side to side.
When you see the first clip you'll understand how they work.
Most windshield replacment companies just rip the trim off, breaking the clips, and put the trim back on with Gorilla Snot type black glue.
