Default It wont start

I was at the car wash today and I shut my car off to vaccum. When I went to turn the car back on, it wouldnt start. The dash board lit up (no check engine light error or anything) and the radio came on..but that's about it. The engine didnt make a sound, no clicking..nothing. So I got out, looked under the hood and under the vehicle to see if I notice any obvious damage..there was none. I got back in, started the car..and wouldnt you know it..it cranked up, no problems.

My brother said that my killstart feature on my alarm system may have played a role in this incident. This only happened one time before, so I dont know what to think.

Any ideas as to what could be going on with my 96 accord lx 4cyl

You might check for corroded or loose connections at the starter. But if you have an aftermarket alarm with a kill feature, that's where my suspicion lies too.

When I did the used cars at a dealership I always removed the alarm systems as they causes a lot of problems. They used mostly unsealed crimp connectors and no soldered joints which can cause problems over time.

Took it to the shop yesterday. Turns out that the relay for the starter kill went bad. $40.00 to replace. Im glad that it was that simple and inexpensive

thanks again
