If anyone has an 03 Accord 4dr V6, why does it have 3 mufflers, i know for noise, but if your getting the V6, your probably getting it for more performane, so why disrupt the exhaust more? your views

 

You mean catayltic converters? Because Honda is stringent to EPA regulations and labelled all of their vehicles as LEV and ULEV (starting in 2004 Accords)

 

is it? because it looks just like a 3rd muffler and looks nothing like theCat in the front

I think you are refering to the resonator. It looks like a round inline muffler, but there's nothing inside it. It is there to eliminate raspy exhaust noise and to even out the pulsed flow of the exhaust so that it doesn't sound harsh.

 

No i know what a resonator is and a cat is so i think it is a muffler ill send a pic

 

Ok, I do know that your car has 3 cats ..... honestly, a 3rd muffler wouldn't surprise me. Smaglik could help here since he has the same gen V6.
