Default 05 accord ex stock radio - watt output

i'm thinking about putting new speakers in my 05 accord ex but i'm not sure how many watts the radio can output to the speakers. if anyone could tell this or point me where i could find this information that would be great. the speakers that i'm looking at are 80w each.

thanks.

i posted here because the audio section is not working for me.

For me there is a back door to the audio section. From the main page if you click the latest post in the audio section on the far right hand side it will then take you to the latest post for that section. Once there click the audio/video link at the top or bottom to take you to the main audio/video page.

As far as your question is concerned I'm not sure how much output the factory system has.

i remember it was something like 15Wx4.

with the stock HU, get speakers w/ high dB sensitivity (~90-94)...any lower and you risk muffled sound from your speakers (which means Alpines are generally ruled out...but there is one model that runs at 92dB...which happens to be the ones I have! ) SPS17C2
