Default 1996 Accord - Exhaust Upgrade

Only just got my provisional driving license and a nice Blackcurrent Accord. Any suggestions for an exhaust system? Note: want to spend $200-$300. Thanks

I too drive a 1996 Accord.....and I've been looking at exhaust systems too. Borla does not make an exhaust for the car. The Flowmaster costs about $300, but does not sound that great (in my opinion). By far the best system is the MagnaFlow. It is a little more expensive ($460), but it sounds awesome.

These are cat-back systems.....they include the resonator, mid-pipe, and muffler.

.....or if you wanted to spend less you could just buy an aftermarket muffler. It's totally up to you and how much you want to spend.

go for a custom bent one, pending on what parts you add with it it could be just around $200 then add a decent muffler. the cheapest way would be to have it from the cat, back through the pipe size of your choice and into a magnaflow or other such muffler.

Looks like ive already made a decision! I was really looking for a perfect fit 1996 Honda Accord Muffler. I dont wanna go for aftermarket muffler because it might sound pretty bad. I will just go for magnaflow it is very popular. Has anyone tried flowmaster?

I still haven't gotten an exhaust yet, for which I am actually glad. I've decided to go with a different MagnaFlow muffler and get custom exhaust piping.

Your best bet will be to buy the muffler of your choice, ie magnaflow, flowmaster, ect... Take it to a local exhaust shop and get yourself a custom exhaust made... This will cost you a total around 250 dollars and you will get your moneys worth that way...

I bought my exhaust system from a place called mandrelexhaustsystems.com I sent them an e-mail because they only show the tube kit but they do offer a bolt on system
