Default 4th gen manifold?

Ok so here is my question! I have a 1992 Accord DX/LX: 2.2L(2156cc) F22A1, MPFI, SOHC 16-valve (single exhaust manifold). So I have to replace some of the front end of the exhaust and well I'm looking on ebay and ALL of them a duals! Can I run a dual manifold? will the headers fit? or should I not replace the headers since I dont have to? <~ it was just going to make things easier and I all so what to do it since I'm replacing stuff any was.

Thanks

What do you mean when you say "duals"? I'm guessing a 4-into-2-into-1 header? They normally extend under the oil pan, back to the cat.
Your A-pipe is #8 since your stock manifold is 4-into-1. When you buy the header, I expect it will include pipe back to the point where it bolts to the cat. So the header would replace your A-pipe too.

If you were buying new retail I'd say call & ask just to make sure how it fits up. With ebay sometimes you can't tell what you're getting. Make sure it's for your DX/LX otherwise the rest of the exhaust sytem (#15 vs. 16 vs. 17) might not bolt up right.

Ok part #8 is what I have and its a 2 peace header just like stock. here is the item its the A-pipe from #9 and header set (2-peice) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Exhau...Q5fAccessories

It says LX/DX. So what I'm asking is will the header still bolt on? does the 4-2-1 (#9) have a differnt bolt layout then the 4-1 (#8)?

not worried about that the cat fail off and I'm deleting it. just running staight pipe back to muffler.

I would just go buy a flew piece and weld that in. but I would like new headers!

If they're advertising it correctly, the 1992 DX/LX/EX part means it'll fit properly against the head.
