Lightbulb 94 accord ex

Does anyone know if the Cat on my 94 ex is restrictive, i was considering getting a new one since i already have Aftermarket headers and cat back exhaust . it would seem a waste if my exhaust couldn't do anything.

your exhaust is still doing something just not as much as it could. Just go on ebay and get a "high flow cat" they aren’t real high flow cat;s but gives better flow. But if your in a area that you need a real cant you will have to buy a real high flow cat. It will cost you $140+ for one vs. the 30bux for the ebay one.
But if you don't plan on getting a tune I would keep your stock cat so that you won’t run even more rich on your air fuel ratio than you already are from your other upgrades.

yes ebay "test pipes and high flow cats" are the same. Just a straight through pipe made to look like a real cat. Yes you will need another ECU. with you being a 94 you should be OBD1 you you can run p28 ecu. You can find them chipped with a tuning software (hondata/crome) online for around 130-160bucks.
A good site for them is...

no if you buy a p28 ecu you won’t. you will just have to get another tune when you do the swap. Unless your swap comes with a p13(stock prelude) ecu then you can use that one(but it’s not tunable friendly). Now if you have already invested in the chipped p28 I would use that one and get a new tune for your h22.

That site you gave me is awesome, but it seems its limited in the CD6 section? I could only find a p28 ecu from ebay searches, the searches on the site you gave me came up empty, would calling them be a better route? And i think i'll buy the chip since it can go to my h22 and still be tuned.

Get a h22 base map. Don't install the ECU until you get your car to your tuner. Then he can tune it from there. Get in contact with your tuner 1st and find out what tuning software they use be4 buying a ecu
