mine doesnt have the silencer, i put it in once, it didnt really silence it, just made it more high pitched. then i threw it away.

i would assume it would, but prob not by all too much

I got mine installed this recent weekend. It was just the exhaust muffler i ordered and then had a local shop do the custom piping and welding. It sounds great, with a deep sound. But it is a big loud but I got use to it. I was told to have a resonator welded to the piping also because the muffler had no baffles. Not sure if it's just me but when you get into higher speeds and rpms, it gets quieter. The piping and the resonator with labor was $234.

mine gets quiter in higher rpms as well, it peaks around like 3500, then at like 6 all you can hear is the intake

It's kinda like the best of both worlds with this exhaust. The deep sound when your in lower RPM's and then when you get into the higher, it gets quieter but not a high ricey sound. You know what I mean?

I got the skunk2 megapower catback too. Bought it used from the for sale thread only. Anyway, you better enjoy loud exhausts because the skunk2 is pretty loud. Definitely doesn't cross the line from nice sounding to rice sounding though. It sounds nice just like a lot of brand named catbacks out there except it's probably one of the loudestbranded catbacks.
