Default CAI for 99 Acura CL 2.3

I'm trying to figure if anyone can tell me the best way to modify and fit a CAI in my acura as they don't make many aftermarket for this engine!!

I'm about 99.9% certain your car came from the factory with a CAI; an aftermarket unit would be a worthless add-on.

Should iI remove the resonator under the bumper seems like a lot of air restriction? Air goes from above engine beside battery then down through resonator or (box) is what it seems like? If I do this then it would open up intake port and suck from under side of engine compartment.

Only if you want to hear more intake noise; doing so will not give you any more performance (the Honda engineers did a very good job of designing the intake).

To each their own, however my personal opinion is that aftermarket CAI's are a waste of money... but hey, it's your money and they (the CAI's) do look kinda' cool even though the performance benefits claimed are debatable.

Side note: some people do like the extra 'air-rush' sound of a CAI intake
