Default CAI Chop down! Karate Chop Style!

Okay so I saw a post elsewhere about someone choping a CAI down to a short ram... Has anyone here ever done this themselves? I've got my old CAI for my 94 Civic I wonder if I can pull it off and chop it to a short ram for my 94 Accord EX? Any thoughts or suggestions on this? Anyone wanna see pics If I do it?

Hey Sir-Nasty..
Instead of cutting down your CAI you should sell it to someone and use the money to buy
a short air one, they are pretty cheap in cost almost anywhere's..

I considered selling it... I may e-bay it... the V2 is obscenly expensive new and I haven't priced out the short ram's yet... I've noticed that Injen seems to be the short ram of choice but I am open to suggestions... I was just going to cut it down because I have all of the stuff and It sounds like fun *L* I have a friend who just went to a muffler shop and had a piece of pipe bent then bought a 3" air filter and customer made one for like $40 or something... that's the other option.... you know anyone who wants a CAI AEM V2 that needs a new air filter for a 92-95 Civic 1.6L?

Does anyone have experience with these intakes? I've seen the Bomz name around but no real world hands on stuff.... Also I plan on fixing up my engine a bit and would like to know if there's a good place to post photos/step by step instructions on what I've done in this forum....

I cut down the CAI from my '03 Corolla and made it into a short ram for my '04 Accord 2.4l. All it took was a sharp hacksaw blade and a little ingenuity. I've since replaced it with an AEM short ram but it worked fine while I used it, just looked a bit ghetto. Here's a link with a few pictures:

That's sweet... I can dig the ghetto short ram.. I wish I had pics of my friends when he bought the filter and just bent a piece of exhaust pipe.. *L* it was sweet... worked fairly well too, better than stock
