I am not sure if you are right or not because I don't even know. But anyways try not to get intakes from eBay.
I bought a "CAI" off eBay and it was actually a SRI. with that SRI that's suppose to fit for my car, I tried to instal it but it did not fit. Things like this happen all the time when you buy things off eBay. I know this because this kind of stuff happened to me about 3 times now. I decided not to waste any more money on eBay and just buy K&N CAI. They have good reputation in the CAI business and it works great.

I'm having some trouble with my CAI installation, I have most of the stock parts taken out except the snorkle/resonator (or whatever the thing is on the way bottom is called). Is there anyway to remove that without removing the front bumper or splash guard?

you're going to have to remove the front bumper or splash guard.

Nope, the bumper isn't hard to take off though. Just a few screws and clips. the easiest way to deal with the clips that I've found is to pry the inner piece up a little with 2 small flat screwdrivers and then use a pair of needle nosed pliers to pull it the rest of the way out. Note that the pliers aren't used for squeezing, but rather like a pickle fork to lift using the sides.

On my brother's CL, I got it out with only removing the bumper half way and the lower shield, but it was a lot easier to just take the bumper off.

you will have to remove the bumper unless you cutthe resonatorout in pieces (probably more trouble than removing the bumper.)

Ok I have everything installed. I had to make a lot of adjustments, the Bomz filter didn't fit my Accord exactly. Since I needed to buy some push screws for my bumper, I went and converted the CAI to a SRI for a short while. But eventually, I got the splash guard, bumper, resonator off. Here are photos of the final installation:

Now cosmetically, everything looks OK (to me). However it appears I've run into some issues. First of all, my check engine light came on. Second of all, when I'm flooring the engine, I'm hitting 5000+RPM but I'm catching almost no speed. I can definitely hear the new intake, but myacceleration is noticebly slower. Any idea what's wrong?

go to pepboys or autozone ect, and get them to check your car w/ the computer they have, it probably has something to do w/ the MAF being taken out and putting it back in... after they fix that, you should have no problem. Other fact could be an excess of air in the cylinder???? don't think so but sounds like a fuel/air mixture problem... but I can't tell by the info you gave...
Put more details and ill do my best to help you bro...

Any clue how much that costs? I hear a diagnostic costs like $80...
