Default high-flow cat converter??

hai gaiz

so yeah like the title said, high-flow catalyst converter?

this is a super "new comer" question but :
  • can i install a high-flow cat converter onto a complete stock exhaust system?
  • are there any power gains with a highflow cat?
  • is there a big difference in the exhaust note?
  • any bargains ?

1) Yes you can install one onto a stock system, if you purchase one made specifically for your car... In this case it will bolt right in place of your factory cat.
2)The power gains from switching to a highflow cat are going to be miniscule...
3)There will be a difference in exhaust, just go to youtube and do a search, should be plenty vids there...
4) Yea, there are big bargains... You can get one for 20-50 dollars... Do I reccomend this???NNNOOO!!! If your going to buy one, get a good name brand such as magnaflow, as these cheap high flows seem to fall apart after a couple months...

also most of the ebay "high flow cats" are nothing but a resonated test pipe...not a real cat.
