Post is intake worth it

I have a 94 accord LX 2.2 with 220 000 miles on it and im thinking about putting a cold air intake on it but i am wondering if it is worth it because the engine has so many miles on it.

i think it would. The better air to fuel mix you have better gas mileage. And with how many miles you have you could see better performance and mpg.

Yes get one it will help out. If something happens to the engine the intake is made to fit in the engine bay. So it will fit any swap you drop in your accord...humm I take that back I think if you swap a k24 in there the intake won’t work with that engine b/c k series sit backwards in the engine bay compared to H/F series engines. But if you have the cash for a k swap you have the cash to buy a new intake when the time comes.

Go for it!

Just get a sri if you are worried about hydrolock. Your mpg WILL increase by about 1 mpg, but it will more than likely decrease when you first install it and bury the gas pedal to hear the roar of the intake!

you are helping your engine breath with an intake system, so really miles shouldn't be a factor, if anything an intake system would lengthen the life of your engine, unless of course you plan on revving it hard to hear the intake.

The amount of miles on the engine doesn't matter. When's the last time you replaced your stock filter? If anything, look into getting a drop in K&N filter. Also, where are you located (state-wise)? Some states have strict emissions and you can only run CARB DOT approved engine modifications (such as AEM)

Also, you will not gain any power from this (1-2 HP max at WOT)
