k&n typhoon or aem v2?
i have a 1999 i4 2dr coupe. i jus finished puttin on my dual exhaust conversion kit today and it looks and sounds real nice. i want to do next is put a intake in before my headers and i was jus wondering what you guys think. i was looking into gettin a k&n typhoon cold air intake system or aem v2 intake. im still undecided which 1 to buy any suggestions? also would i see any power increase with the intake or i have a better chance of seeing something after i do my headers? thanks guys all repleys will be greatly apperciated

To me it's a coin toss as to which one. The thing that would sway me to the AEM is the dryflow filter. It's easier to maintain and no oiling is required.

Problem here is the V2 is in another class than the typhoon, if he is considering the typhoon then a suitable comparison is the normal CAI that AEM offers.

I have the V2 on my 99 accord and it looks and sounds awesome. You can hear the thing sucking in air like crazy. It whistles when around 2200 RPMs. Very cool. I would definately recommend it.

i do wanna get the aem v2, now i know you can hydro lock your engine but i live in NY it rains but there aint puddles that are 5 inches deep at all or nuttin like that. i was just wondering what happenes when it pours outside and im driving will i be okay with it? ALSO J_MAN_Honda i see you also have a auto did you see any gains with the intake headers and exhuast? i wish i could be able to get some more tourque and acceleration.
