That sucks. So was it just sludge then? And is it toast for sure or what? Did you Seafoam it by chance when you swapped it in?

lol Well I used to be on here ALL the time! Then the forum got junky, so I went to G5A which I dont like as much, then I just kinda slowed down on the forum thing.

 

i'm not sure whats wrong with the motor, and really couldnt be sure untill i tore it apart(which i will prob do for fun once i put the new one in).

Its weird when i first swapped it in it didnt seem to burn any oil, then i put some marvel mystery oil in, and then it started burning oil. then i put some stuff into the actual cylinders and let it soak then blew it out. then it stopped burning oil for a couple weeks, and even ran it at the track for a run and a half(CEL came on halfway down the track so let off). then I took it out for one final weekend before i parked her for winter, and she was crop dusting blue smoke. so idk. i had planned a motor build anyways, just had planned on having a car to drive while i built the motor.

Yeah i'm not the biggest fan of g5a, well most of the people are cool. thats why i like a few other forums like honda society or cd5 tuner because its all the same people as g5a with tsm lol

That is weird how it started after you put that oil additive in. I have heard it is pretty good stuff. Did you just add it, or did you take out a quart of oil, and then put in the quart of marvel?

 

i sold my f22.

while doing a oil change i put in a half of quart of it instead of oil i guess you could say

even the k24 (166/160) outshines the f block...the only thing the f block has going for it is the massive FI community behind it fueling companies to keep producing kits. I swear sometimes gen5/6 people hog all the attention (jk) :P

 

the F22B is actually a DOHC non vtec JDM motor that makes 166hp, but still k series is still FAR better, and has way greater potential. and its just that he doesnt offer the k series swap so he has to talk down of it.

and we get all the attention because we are the best gen
