Ya might as well cancel your order to save a few headaches. Comptech isn't making the Icebox for our cars anymore due to lack of demand. If you really want it, try calling Comptech, but I know that they are not filling orders for that part.

i either want my money back or the part, and if its going to be on back order forever then i want my money back. has anybody ordered anything of that site before? it could be because of the shortage but they could at least respond to my email.

Tell them you have heard that comptech does not even make that part any more and you want to cancel your order and your money needs to be refunded in full. If they give you any crap about it, tell them you are going to contact the Better Business Bureau to see if they can offer you assistance in getting your money back.
If they never respond, contact the BBB.

It's a big company ..... that means that their customer service blows (in the online autoparts world anyway). Most likely, no person ever sees the order until there's a problem. If you ask for a refund, they'll issue it with no problems, but you may have to spend an hour or so on hold before they send you to an answering machine (they never have a person to talk to; if they did, you'd likely need to be able to speak Hindi). Your best bet is to email them with your order info and ask for a refund .... no threats are necessary at this time.

...... and Jon, stop whoring so much ..... you're making it hard for me to steal your spot on the top 10!!!

Holy crap! I didn't even realize I had broken 2000 posts!
Falkore's got a good point. Ask them for your money back. if you get no response within a week (5 business days), send another email telling them you are going to report them to the BBB. Give them another week, then contact the BBB if you still receive no response. That way the BBB sees you gave them ample time to respond.

Be aware that the BBB takes a fair amount of time to go through the process.
