Default Resonator or not?

I have a 91 Ex with the F22 in it, 5spd has an ebay header already, and im going for a 2 1/4" flange-back exhaust into a cherrybomb turbo muffler for now, should i run a resnator, will be a glasspack, or just run straigt pipe back to the muffler?

I would run a resonator.....takes the rasp away, kinda. And it doesnt restrict airflow that much

And I'm pretty sure straight pipes are illegal for on road use... Am I right?

yes but straight pipes delete a cat converter not a resonator. I dont think you even need resonators on cars just cats and mufflers on certain cars

Well here you dont need a cat if its pre 1997, next year 1998, if i dont need it why bother, im just runing straight pipe, into a glasspack, then into a cherrybomb turbo. Ill get some pics and sound up sooner or later.

Because your exhaust will smell like crap and you just pollute more.

Good luck with the sound... youre resonator and cherrybomb will blow their wad after a few years from rusting.

Im not too concerned about the smell, i could care less and im not much of an environmentalist, but i can see how a higher quality muffler like the apexi does sound a lot better than the cherrybombs, so i guess ill be buying something like that or close to it.

Ya go for HKS, APEXI, INJEN mufflers they are somewhat cheap and sound really really good

Hooker Aerochamber FTMFW!!!!

followed by spintech. For resonators, look at Moroso spiral flow.

Magnaflow (I think) and Random Technologies for cats.
