short ram and cold air?
Ok, I'll do it.....
The CAI draws air from outside the engine compartment so it is cooler than that beneath the hood.
The short ram draws air from the engine compartment so it can be warmer than outside air. Cooler air provides more horsepower but both provide a slight gain.

theres a compression wave that comes out of the combustion chamber right as the intake valve closes......that wave resonates in the filter and is sent back at just the right time so that wave go into the combustion chamber just as the intake valve closes again (the rarefaction wave) .....slightly pressurising the cylinder.....thats where the power comes from......from the sound. that is the main principle that short ram intakes are built on....thats why i recommend them...now the aem v2 takes this into consideration and thats why you see the different diameter tubes in it....the intake is trying to send that rarefaction wave back at just the right time
