skunk2 throttle body

Default skunk2 throttle body

i was looking on the skunk2 website and im inerested in getting a throttle body but it says racing use only? why? oh and i dont care about cruise control cause i dont use it

i think its because the idle line isnt as large as the stock so it wont idle the same which, on a race car it should only be full throttle and not much street driving. Thats what i would think anyways.

but do you think i would still be able to drive it daily? wouldnt it just have a rough idle though?

a rough idle isnt a good thing ^_- you have to keep in mind, its air being pulled in with the thottle being completely closed so if your going 70 miles an hour and take your foot off the gas thats air its trying to suck through at 2500rpms give or take. If its not pulling enough air in to mix with the fuel it wont combust properly if it does at all. Which means it will either stall the engine due to the a/f mixture not being right, or it will keep running and dump some gas out your muffler. Porting your existing throttle body would be better, but you still have to port the plenium of your intake manifold as well for it to be effective.
