Buy a cheap pipe off of ebay (listed as a cold air intake)and buy a good filter like AEM or K&N. Throw away the cheap filter that comes with the cheap intake kit. Anything else is a waste of money IMO.

Either one will be good, they are pretty comperable.... Personally I prefer the AEM, it looks good, sounds good and it's CARB exempt...

Wait.. so whats the difference between a AEM v2 Air intake system and a cool air intake?

AEM V2 Air Intake System utilizes a dual chamber design to maximize the overall area under the power curve for more air throughout the entire RPM range.
AEM Cold Air intake for sport compact cars increase airflow and oxygen content, ensuring safe increases in power by relocating the filter within the engine compartment to deliver the coolest air inlet temperatures possible.

V2 has a larger section of tube, similar to a straight through muffler. Supposedly, the 2 tube sizes are tuned to add a little more power. In reality, the design changes the sound .... deeper, cleaner .... maybe. More power, nothing to write home about.

The standard AEM CAI is like every other one, a tube with a cone filter on the end.

it's a marketing hype that sounds an awful lot like what a turbo does.. forced induction...

in reality it might increase performance by 5-10%, but that's so insignificant on these cars you most likely won't even notice it.
