is it the same buying the hks tip and welding it to a 2.75 pipe all the way back sound wise..
or better the whole exhaust system..i rather waste 250 on the tip then buyin it for 500ish

There's a rule of thumb for exhaust sizing, for every 60Hp at the flywheel you need 1" exhaust diameter. Depending on what your engine's output is (I'm thinking in the 150HP zone) the 2-3/4" pipe you're talking sounds a little big...
