im sorry, im new to the honda and the v-tech... i was curious what exactly the v-tech is and does
explained in english lol i tried to look it up and i found an explination of it... but it sounded nothing like i was reading in some of the earlier forums
i was just curious if you could help a rookie out please

vtech ......variable valve timing and electronic lift control......


two step process occuring at the exact same time.


there is a certain rpm in your motor where volumetric efficiency becomes optimal. at this very time, usually around 4500-5000 rpm. two things happen.

one ....timing is effectively advanced creating more horsepower.

two...... valve lift is increased/higher than it was before. higher valve lift increases horsepower and allows the motor to attain higher rpms without starving.

low lift is utilized at low rpms because it creates more torque.

nice discription light show... if u want that in a nutshell its gives a radical cam when u hammer on it and a normal cam when u are at low rpm...
