the controller piggybacks the computer, with the list of mods on your car, you havent really changed the point of optimal volumetric efficiency. you may actually diminish the effect of vtec if you set it much lower than it currently is, but you could probly lower it a few hundred rpm's though. actually, the end of the low cam is around 5800 rpm..........now theres an idea.

Do you mean maybe make a couple of camshaft alterations and some head work first before maybe hooking up a piggy back system, when you say "the end of the low cam is around 5800 rpm..........now theres an idea." is the engine at its peak performance power band? im not too familiar about camshafts as in the lobes degress and lift duration,

camshaft alterations and head work would definately benefit from a controller. what i meant by the low cam thing is that you high cam doesnt become efficient un til a certain rpm (about 4500 - 5000) but the low cam stays bomb and even gets better after this point, up until about 5800. if you left the motor in low cam position for a little longer (increased the vtec point) port flow would definatley be faster when vtec came on. your vtec point right now is a "compromise" between a couple different variables.
