Exclamation ** ATTENTION PLEASE>WHERE TO POST Your Questions

Lately I've been spending more time moving threads around, & having less time to actually help people. So here's some friendly guidelines...

This section (* NEW MEMBER AREA*) is really just for welcome & introduction stuff. You're welcome to describe your car & what you're interested in, but don't bother to ask the actual technical questions here.

"General Tech Help" section:
This is the proper place to ask "How do I fix my xxxxxxx?"
This is where most technical questions will start. It's the section that gets the most traffic, and you're most likely to get the right people reading your question.

"Do-It-Yourself" section:
This would be the first place for you to SEARCH, looking for other people who have already solved the same problem. It's NOT the place for you to ask how to fix something. Those questions RARELY become a nice clean, detailed write-up. If a thread in any other section becomes a nice detailed write-up, any moderator can easily move or copy it into the DIY section.

"Engine & Internal" section:
This has evolved into a section about upgrading & major work. Not the general tech questions about oil leaks or how to change valve cover gaskets.

"Appearance"
"Audio/Visual Electronics"
"Detailing"
and all those other topics...
Those will be a lot like General Tech, but for questions within their own topics. People who are interested & have expertise in those areas tend to hang out there, so check them out. For now, we don't have a "transmission" or "brakes" section, so put those in General Tech.

Vendors & Classifieds sections:
Read the rules. Those sections have specific rules about posting ads.

"HAF Help & Suggestions"
That is for help with the WEBSITE. Not for help with your car.
