HEY everyone just wanted to say HI. I'm a new owner of a 2000 honda accord ex and i love it!! going to be doing alot of things to it ... it's jet black fully loaded with sunroof so perfect for me the guy wanted $4,400 and he went down to $3,900 so i'm very happy girl

I always hate to be the barer of bad news, especially to someone who is excited about their new car, but its better to know the truth. The 98-02 Accord automatic V6s had very common catastrophic transmission failure. There isn't really a way to prevent it, and when it happens there is no guaranteeing the replacement transmission will be any better.

There was a class action law suit against Honda for it, but Honda was never forced to recall them.

Have you already paid for the car?

I hate to be so negative about the Accord, especially on the Accord forum, but welcome none the less.

 

yes i have today, and i have paper work that he had the transmission redone
