Default 2003 Honda Accord LX radio issue

I've owned this 2003 Honda Accord LX for 20 years. Recently, I get no sound from the radio or CD player. The radio seems to work as does the CD player. It lights up, scans, selects stations, etc, The CD player will load and indicate tracks as it plays. BUT i hear no sound from either one. If I turn the volume up to 40, I can just barely hear some music very softly. Any ideas as to what's going on? Any ideas on what I can do to fix this?

mine is doing this too, tap the sound button 3 times then adjust the fade all to the front speakers then turn the radio off. Wait a second then turn radio back on and it should be working. Then you can readjust the fade to be evenly split between front and back speakers. Im not a radio guy so i dont know why this is doing what it's doing. All I know is that when it cuts out, I adjust the fade to the front then turn off and back on and it works. Hope this helps, let us know

I tried this and every variation I could think of - Forward/Rear, Left/Right, Bass, Treble, Balance, etc. Nothing worked. I think it just may need to be replaced. Thanks for your reply though. I appreciate it.

there's a guy on youtube that made a two part video on what's causing this. There's a diode on the radio's motherboard that has a faulty sodder connection. You can take the radio apart and use a "Circuit Writer" marker to make a continuous circuit that bypasses the faulty diode. If I can find the link I will come back and link it but if you search 2003 Honda Accord radio not working, you should find his video eventually. Remember it's a 2 part video and he goes over each step when taking the radio out of the housing and out of its shell. That diode is also responsible for the lights in the climate control unit and radio face. If you find his video before I get back to you, let me know. I've already ordered the "Circuit Writer" marker off Amazon, its a marker that has silver based ink/paste and you simply draw a line up one side of the diode then across the top then down the other side that then bypasses the faulty diode. A bunch of people in his comments have all tried it and it fixed their issue.

Here is the guy's video that shows what must be done to fix the issue. Good luck, from reading the comments below this video, this will fix our problems.
