My 2006 Accord has an srs light and when scanned says it's an internal permanent DTC fault. I'd like to replace the unit and program it to the vehicle vin. What brand and model scanner/code reader (Autel, Foxwell, etc) will allow me to do this diy? Maybe the existing unit's DTC can be cleared through obd2 port. Local dealer smiles and says unit is $900 + labor and is on back order. Any info appreciated. thanks - steve (Alabama).
