I have a 2004 Pilot EX-L and have been bery happy with it. So when my wife's car (1997 Sable) had gotten to the point that it needed to be replaced we researched vehicles and decided that the Accord would be our preferred vehicle as were were looking for a sedan.

Did research on both the 2006 and 2007 with all combination of V6 options. However my wife is directionally challenged and very easily becomes confused while driving so it became clear that the navigation system would be of great benefit to her.

Most of the 2006's on dealer lots did not have this option and we were not interested in a used vehicle, so it came down to locating a suitable 2007 and negotiating the cost down.

After test driving and going over vehicles with a fine tooth comb, it was time to bargain. I had thought for sure that the 2007 would have little wiggle room because they were very new. So we were prepared to walk if they moved higher than my limit.

2007 EX-L V6 w/Navi - Auto Trans. - Sticker - $29400 + 595 destination. After negotiation, my cost $26,650 +595 destination.

After going through the learning curve, my wife loves the navigation system which gives her voice direction (extreme directions in her case) and also allows voice command control of the radio/CD and climate controls.

By the way it runs well too. An outstanding vehicle.

 

Congrats on the purchase of your new 2007 Honda Accord. I just purchased the 2007 Honda Accord LX-V6. I had considered the same model as you, but after some long thought I decided to step down to the LX model. Coming from a '98 Explorer to the Accord is just awesome.

 

I had a '98 accord LX V6 worst car ever

alternator
transmission
rear brakes

all had to be replaced before 100K

repairs soon to be needed

CV joints
rubber suspension in the rear
various clips in the dash and drivers door panel
tie rod

Now mind you I had a 1994 accord that went 145K with only needing the following

1 brakes
2 CV joint
3 Rad cap
4 A/C recharge

and the kicker is that it was rebuilt from salvage.......

BTW I believe that the 07 accords have a newer 4 shaft 5spd auto that is supposed to correct all of the problems with the previous 5spd unit used in all acura FWD cars and the 03-06 accords
