A few months ago I bought a 2017 accord hybrid touring model. It has an mpg rating of 49. However, since I have owned this car, I have never gotten better than 41 miles per gallon. In fact, my miles per gallon is steadily going down. I am currently averaging only 33 miles per gallon. I have tried reaching the local service department and they suggest it might be the weather or my tires. I know this cannot account for my terrible fuel economy. I always have economy mode turned on and and I baby the car with slow starts and lots of coasting. Every other vehicle I have ever owned I get better than the suggested miles per gallon. Yet with this car my MPG keeps going down. I am extremely frustrated and want to know why my car is underperforming so badly.
