Lightbulb 31F 1st time Honda owner.

I am new here and new to car discussion forums.
I had always left my car repairs up to the men in my life and to be honest, that sure has gotten old.
So I am here taking the bull by the horns and want to learn how to do stuff to my vehicle or at least actually be of some assistance to the one who is or will be doing the BIG stuff on my car. Without sounding like an air head trying to imitate sounds as a diagnostic method.
So be gentle ladies and gentlemen. I am here to learn and make new friends.
Hopefully I can accomplish the majority of the "small" things that crop up and go wrong on a 12 yr old HONDA ACCORD plus making it look FABULOUS in the process.

Thanks in advance.
Casi.

Welcome!
Your REAL questions would go in the topic areas like A/V electronics or Appearance or whatever. General Tech would be the place to start with "How do I fix the XXXX" questions.

ps... where are you located? Sometimes that makes a big difference like USA vs. UK vs. Europe. Accord models like EX, LX, DX are all different for different parts of the world.

Welcome enjoy your stay. Nice to see another cb7 on the forums.
Well if you have the dx you have the f22a1 engine that has 125hp but if you have the ex then you have the f22a4 engine that makes 140hp if I remember correct.

THANKS.

I am in the US in OHIO.

I really wish I knew what a cb7 meant but I am glad some one is glad to see me er uh my car here. =) I posted my vin up to the 8th number in the Gen Tech boards and someone there is going to use that info to let me know EX/DX/LX. Once all that is ironed out I will make adjustments to my signature. Thanks for friendly welcome.

Pop your hood and I can tell you what model you have by looking at your engine code. Takes 30 sec. I will take a pic of my cb7 engine bay and pin point the engine code location for you when I make my way outside. Cb7s are my fav. accord IMO they look the best too. Cb7 stands for your chassis code. All 90-93 accords are cb7s or ppl will call them 4th gens...well b/c 90-93 accords are the 4th generation accord

Don't even have to pop the hood. CB7 or whatever, that chassis code is the 4th-5th-6th digits of your car's VIN. You can read that through the windshield.
