Default '99 Accord 150K

Been poking around here for awhile, and decided to register. Just rolled 150K miles on the work car. Everything is stock, so any suggestions on how I can boost MPG, or longevity I'm all ears. Anyone know of common problems with this year, and model? Timing belts, water pump, and thermostat was changed at 105K. Does anyone have super high milage on the same car that I have? Please drop me a line so I can see how my maintenance program matches up to yours.

The transmission shifts harder, and clunks going from P,R,N, and D. It has only had Honda trans fluid.

sounds alright...i asked cause yours is the gen with the tranny issue...

I had 231k on my 94 when i parted with it. i just did simple maintenenace on it (changed fluids, belts, timing when needed) and that kept it goin strong. i followed the intervals in the manual for the most part.

Are you sure you got an F23A4? I thought only the DX's came with the F23A4 (non-VTEC engine). My 2000 LX has a F23A1 (VTEC Engine.)
Anyways....my 2000 LX has a little over117,000 on it. I just got back from a 700 mile trip. I averaged about 35MPG on the highway doing 80MPH most of the way. And the engine is bone stock. Soon I'm gonna add a Short Ram Intake (as you can see below in my signature.) I'll let you know if I see any increase in MPG as supposedly the SRI helps a little.
What kind of MPG are yougetting now?

Haha! I know. I normally don't speed, but when all the truckers are doing between 75 & 80 it's hard to resist!
Is the speed limit actually 80MPH on i10 in west Texas?

If it's VTEC it's actually an F23A1
