Ambient (External) temperature digital display showing "---" after radio replacement

I have 2005 Honda Accord EX V6, I replaced my radio with aftermarket Android radio and now ambient temperature display shows "---" instead of real temperature. When I connected back the original radio, ambient temperature was showing up again.
How does radio control the temperature display?
