Default Drove my car!

I got to test drive my car, which I'm getting this weekend. I really liked how it looked and it seemed to be in great condition. There was only one problem... I'm really bad at stick. I thought it would be a lot easier, but I must just be dumb or something. Now I'm kinda worried cuz I'm selling my automatic cavalier when I get the accord this weekend. I hope I can figure it out and not die or worse, break my new ride. I'll have to get pictures as soon as I own it, but it's the 4 door F23A4. Has 130,000 miles, but I think it should be awesome if I dont break the car learning stick.

You'll get used to it n no time. Within a week you will be fine. You will NOT regret it! Just don't burn up the clutch. After you master everyday driving, you can work on the harder things such as double clutching. Nothing beats a manual transmission.

I would strongly advise that you not try to race people for at least the first week you are getting used to it.... The tachometer is your friend, for optimal fuel effeciency and smooth driving use about 1/4 to 1/2 throttle during acceleration and shift into the next gear when you are between 3 and 4,000 rpm's.

Yeah, I'm so excited to get it. And I wont be racing it really. If I wanted a racing car I would have found something faster (or atleast found the V6 version), but I'm still gonna put in mods and stuff, nothing fancy though. Thanks for the advice sir_nasty.

I actually did a write up long ago(one of my first posts on this site) where a guy was asking how to drive a standard. Here's a link: https://www.hondaaccordforum.com/m_49070/tm.htm
It's a "beginner's how to"
